Our doctor will tell you all about the course of treatment and what to expect in the next few minutes. After a few preliminary photos are taken and you complete the health statement and consent form, treatment can begin immediately. The area is cleaned and disinfected.

The treatment consists of a series of injections that inject the right amount of filler into the lips at just the right place. You will see the natural volume of your lips restored almost immediately. After treatment, you will be given an ice pack for cooling against pain and swelling. So you can quickly enjoy your beautiful, full lips again.

You do not need lip fillers, but if you decide to undergo this treatment, the area to be treated will be numbed beforehand if necessary. The filler contains lidocaine to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. After treatment, the treating physician will use ice packs to cool the skin.

Five days before treatment, it is important to stop taking blood-thinning painkillers such as aspirin and ibuprofen. However, paracetamol is allowed.

Although it is possible to bruise after lip filler treatment, this does not always happen. To reduce the risk of bruising, the attending physician works with a cannula whenever possible. In addition, the skin is cooled immediately after the puncture with ice packs to prevent swelling and bruising.

To minimize the chance of bruising, it is important not to take aspirin or ibuprofen in the days before treatment. Homeopathic remedies such as Arnica, available in drop, cream and pill form at drugstores and pharmacies, can also help. We also recommend stopping taking Omega 3 supplements in the week before treatment. If you experience swelling quickly, taking the supplement Bromeline may help.

If bruising does occur, it will last up to a week. You can cover the spot with concealer.

Experience immediate results after a lip filler treatment. Recovery is fast and within 1-2 weeks you will see the full final result.

Before re-treating the same area with a filler, we recommend waiting at least 2 weeks. Our attending physician will create a personalized treatment plan for you.

Returning regularly for touch-up treatments of the filled area is essential to maintain the desired results. Repeated filler treatments can also prolong the duration of the effect, reducing the need for clients to have touch-up treatments.

The duration of results after lip filler treatment varies depending on the type of filler used and the area treated. Generally, the results of a hyaluronic acid filler last between 6-8 months, as opposed to the previously mentioned 8-12 months. However, by undergoing repeated filler treatments in the same area, you can enjoy the results for longer and longer.

• Let the skin rest after treatment.
• Do not use aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief after treatment; choose paracetamol instead.
• Avoid exposing the treated skin to extreme temperatures, such as saunas, tanning beds and steam baths, for the first 2 weeks.
• Do not drink alcohol for the first 24 hours after treatment.
• Wait at least 2 hours after treatment before applying makeup to the treated area.

Try to make as little contact as possible with the treated areas after filler treatment because the skin needs time to rest. It is preferable not to apply makeup to the treated areas for the first 2 hours after treatment. If it is still necessary to apply makeup, seek the doctor’s advice on a breathable foundation suitable for use after filler treatment.

It is advisable not to drink alcohol for the first 24 hours after treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling. We also recommend not drinking alcohol the day before treatment.
