What does a Sculptra body treatment look like?
Note: A Sculptra treatment requires a deposit and must be prepared 3 days in advance, so it is important to make an appointment.
During the intake interview, the practitioner analyzes your body and discusses your expectations to create a personalized treatment plan. On the day of treatment, the doctor explains the procedure before getting started. Sculptra is inserted through a needle or cannula into the skin and its deeper layers. Your body will absorb the Sculptra particles over the next few days. In the first week after treatment, massage the treated area according to the instructions given. The results will gradually become visible and the quality of your skin will continue to improve over the next 2-3 months. If additional treatment is needed, the doctor will consult with you.
Does a Sculptra body treatment offer immediate results?
Initially after the injection process, you may observe a temporary improvement that, however, dissipates within 24 hours. It usually takes between two and three months to obtain lasting results, as this is the period when your body produces new collagen.
What should I do after a Sculptra body treatment?
- For 5 days after treatment, massage the affected areas 5 times a day for about 5 minutes.
- For about 3-5 minutes, a few times a day, hold ice bags against the treated areas.
- In the first 2-7 days after treatment, the treated areas may show redness, swelling or bruising.
- It is recommended to avoid strenuous physical activity and alcohol for 24 hours after treatment.
- When bruises appear, it is advisable to continue taking Arnica supplements and use Arnica gel. In addition, drinking fresh pineapple juice and/or taking Bromelain supplements can speed up the healing process.
- A few days after treatment, your appearance will return to the pre-treatment state. This is a normal phenomenon as Sculptra gradually replaces lost collagen.
What happens if you don't massage your skin after a Sculptra treatment?
After a Sculptra injection treatment, we recommend that patients massage the treated areas to prevent the formation of small bumps (nodules) in the skin. If the skin is not massaged, small nodules may appear.
What does the 5-5-5 rule mean after a Sculptra treatment?
After your appointment: It is very important to follow the 5-5-5 rule after your Sculptra treatment. This involves massaging the treated area 5 times a day for 5 minutes for 5 days after your injections. Your skin may look “plumped up” after treatment due to the amount of fluid injected.
Can I resume my daily routine after a Sculptra body treatment?
Yes, patients can resume to their normal routine immediately after their Sculptra treatment.
Do you see results from a Sculptra body treatment after just 2 weeks?
Results of Sculptra are usually visible after 8 to 10 weeks. Sculptra stimulates the natural production of collagen, which means it may take some time to see full results. After about 2 weeks, the collagen begins to form and the first results can be noticed. The full effect of the treatment will be visible after several months.
How long does it take until Sculptra is fully effective?

What does the treated region look like immediately after a Sculptra body treatment?
